About

Built by a Colorado plumber.

Not a software company guessing at what the trades need.

Hi, I'm Justin Reed.

I'm a licensed plumbing contractor working in the Denver/Boulder area. I built CodeCheck Colorado because every city around here adopts its own version of the code, and finding the local answer usually means a phone call to the building department or digging through municipal code on my phone between jobs.

The app puts each jurisdiction's adopted codes and local amendments in one place, with the source cited, so I can check a requirement in seconds and show it to a customer when they ask whether it's really required.

What we believe

  • Show the source. Every local rule lists its section and ordinance.
  • Be honest about certainty. Amendments are marked Verified or Unverified.
  • The code official has the final word. The app is a reference, not legal advice.
  • Built for Colorado. Live across the I-25 / I-70 corridor; expanding statewide next.

CodeCheck Colorado is independent and not affiliated with the State of Colorado or any city or county building department.
